Forest in Nepal

Nepal is a rich country in terms of forest and biodiversity. Even though Nepal is small in size, it has diverse forests ranging from the tropical Terai region to the alpine Himalayan region. These forests play a crucial role in maintaining environmental balance and supporting human life. Different types of forests are found in Nepal, including tropical Sal forests, subtropical pine forests, temperate oak and rhododendron forests, and alpine forests. These forests support endangered wildlife such as the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, red panda, and snow leopard.
